4 days to go! :D

Hey guys!
I know, I thought that the last post, is the last one before America, but (maybe you're already guessed it ;) ) apparently it isn't.
Yeesss what happend that qualifies me  to make another post in between? I have to say not much, but still, it had been an exciting time but now I won't talk about the reasons any more  I'll just WRITE!!

• Ok first of all I got my  FLIGHT DETAILS  from my hostmum. When I saw them I nearly fainted (ok that's not true, but let's say I was a bit shocked) because I have to change my planes 3 TIMES o.O
  in bruessel, in chicago and in Dallas. haha very good for me, I've got hardly any experience with airports and that stuff, could be great..... but I've got SOO many tips from friends and family that I now think that I CAN'T fail! 
• Segundo I told my hostmum that it could be a bit difficult with school on january 4th and she told me that she will try to make an appointment that I start school and January 5th. Phew! 
• Furthermore it had been a stresful time for me looking for good host family presents, but I can proudly say that I finally got the perfect ones! Thanks to all who gave me advice for finding it! I will miss you all, although I will see you all again in September... ok NEARLY everyone 
• And finally I have to say that I will leave good old Austria one day BEFORE my departure, because I don't want to get up at 2 o clock in the morning. So I'm leaving at Monday to Germany and then my mum and I will sleep (NOT under the bridge, in a hotel ;) ) there. 

Yep I think that's everything in the first place!! When nothing epic happens in between I will contact you when I'm in the USA and when my nerves have calmed down again! I'm so excited!!

One week to go!

First of all: MERRY (belated) christmas everybody! :) 

I hope you all had nice christmas holidays! I had a VERY nice christmas, bcause I got the E-mail from my hostfamily on december 24th!
They all seem very nice and I'm SO looking forward to meet them! They live on a family farm with nearly their whole family, and I can't wait meeting them all! And I found out that my hostdad is a hispanic so I hope that my Spanish will also get better in the USA! 

Oh yes aand now I know when I'M going! I called the EF office a few days ago and thn they told me that I will fly at the first date which is possible and that's Jan 3th! School starts for me on Jan 4th so it's good I reckon. But that's so early I still have so much to do! But I don't know my excact flight dates and that stuff but I will know when I get my tickets ;) ( I hope ). 

Soo I'm already at the end of this post and maybe that's the last post in Austria (that's so weird :O )!!!! 

Urg I'm excited.....

Yesssss! ;)

I always thought that when my hostfamily is confirmed that I'll write it on my blog IMMEDIATELY! But guess what, I didn't :D
So a few days ago, I was reading a blog from another host student from EF, and there I read that she found out who's going to host her over the MY EF page. But they called her before and I didn't get a call so I didn't thought that this  could happen to me as well!! So I logged myself in and then BÄÄM  there was all the information about them!! Really I was so happy I absolutely freaked out, and ran around in the house screaming "I GOT MY HOSTFAMILY, I GOT MY HOSTFAMILY!!" Really I was so happy that I nearly cried.
To get back to substance, EF confirmed my hostfamily in Nebraska or rather in Grand island, the third largest city in Nebraska with ca. 45 000 inhabitants. My hostfamily seems very nice I also sent them an E-mail yesterday, but they didn't answer so far, but I'm soo excited to hear from them!!

My next post will be when they finally reply, so be prepared for another post soon ;)

OMG OMG OMG!!!

It had been a very exciting (or terrible :/ ) time for me since yet, because:
1) I got paranoid because I waited for the letter from EF every single day after school and I checked the E-mails a thousand times a day but there was no information at all!
2) A few days ago I read some postings from two girls who were called from EF and they told them that they couldn't find a family for them and now they have to cancel or to take another option :O and I was so worried that that happens to me too because I'm going already in 4 weeks or so and I don't have a family yet so i was very, very, very worried :S

But after that horrible storys I decided to call the EF office today to know if I'm also among the unlucky people who don't get a family, and there they told me that there's a family who applied for me!! And the family is in NEBRASKA  and that's soo awesome because it's yeah just awesome the landscape there is soo beautiful and everything is just awesome...... But they didn't tell me more because the family is not confirmed yet :/ it doesn't matter maybe I've got a family now and I'm just happy and excited and happy and also a bit worried that there's something wrong and that they have to look for another family but I don't want to think about that now it's too awesome than to be worried and yessssss :DDD

Oh I already mentioned that that's so awesome that I might have a family? because it is!!! yeah hahah I will come back to you when it's confirmed that I'm going there which is soon I hope :)

OK firstly I know that this is not the post about my hostfamily but I have to share something other!! Ah it's awesome. This will be a very short enter because I have to say that the Austrian post system is absolutely great!
As you know, I went to Vienna yesterday to request my Visa for the US and today I already got it!!! It was  really suprising  for me :)

Hahah I know this post isn't really interesting but, as I said  at the beginnig, it's so awesome to have it......
So but the NEXT post will be about my family! ;)

A trip to Vienna

Hey!
Today I had my date at the Vienna US consultate. I was so nervous at the beginning that you can't even imagine :O
So after a few troubles with finding it ( it looks very inconspicuous ) I went into it 15 minutes before I had to be there so I had to wait and I got crazy in this time! But there were many, many people waiting with me for their visa I was suprised how many.
But it wasn't that bad then after I had finished the security check at the entry (really like on the airport). Tghen I got quickly through all ( ok I had some troubles with writing my name correctly xD ) and the interview wherefore I got there only lasts for 2 minutes I guess.  I was very happy after all that I got through and that nothing contingency happened, and then I had a great day in Vienna instead of school :)

Hahaha I'm afraid that I have to finish now, the other details would be really boring....
I hope that my next post is that I got my hostfamily ( I really REALLY hope)

Orientation Meeting!!

Today was a very interesting day, because i got to Salzburg for the EF Orientation Meeting. After a few problems with finding a parkinglot  :) we arrived there and met other EF stundent who are leaving in January too. It was very nice to meet them and to talk to them! There were 15 students ,I guess from the area, and  they're going to the USA, to Australia, to Canada and to France.
They invited 3 Returnees (people from Austria who went to the USA and are already back) and it was amazing what they tell you about the year!! Now I'm 100% more excited than before really! Ah I CAN'T WAIT!!!

And another good thig about the meeting was that I know now that I'm not the only one without a host family yet . They told us that it's absolutely normal when you don't have a hostfamily now. How cheering! :)

Hm what else happend today?! - Oh yes I wanted to finish my Visa papers, which I filled out 2 days ago  but everything was deleted and so I have to begin again -.-
 Haha not so bad I think it's really amusing to fill it out espacially the security questions which are  hilarious!
And I'm really looking forward to going to the US consulate on Thursday and afraid of it. But I've heard today that the conversation wherefore I have to go to Vienna  lasts for 2 minutes! :D Great then!

so now I have to go hope you enjoyed the longest post of this blog ;)

Boredom

Hey! hahah thought it would be time for a new post it's been a while, since the last and I promised you that I will upload a new post soon :P and I'm bored although i have to learn for my Spanish test tomorrow but no me gusta aprender español para los deberes esccolares ( I know I'm not really good at it :D )
So what happened since my last posting?? 
- Hm first of all I called the US consulate in Vienna and arranges a date where I have to come there and talk about my plans. I was so nervous when I called them embarrassed myself a lot :) 
haha but no problem i managed to make! But it's at 8.30 in the morning that means that i have to get up at 5 in the morning :O 
So i think I have nothing else to say at the moment...
Oh yes and I have NO family at all! Wah it's horrrible to see all the posts of the other EF students who already got a family. But I'm still hoping that I get one soon ;)

The first posting xD

So here's the firts post of my famous blog :)
Firts of all I want to introduce myself a bit: I'm a 16-year-old girl from Austria (the smallest of the small countries) and I'm going to America next year, for five months. I'm soo excited already ;)
Hm what else?..... yeah I want to write everything in Englisch in here, to make sure that everybody understands it
I'm going to America in Janury 2012 (in less than 80 days from now wohoo!!), but I don't know where exactly yet :(. So but I hope that I will get a host family soon, otherwise I will die because of impatience.
But I got my VISA-PAPERS today!!! That's a big step towards the USA in my opinion, although there's a lot of paperwork to do.
I'm afraid that's the end of my first post, but there will be other posts soon, I promise!
